Greetings and thanks for looking. My name is Harold Doyle. I have been involved with the fire service as long as I can remember . I was a dispatcher for the American Red Cross in New York City, from there I went on to be a member of the New York Fire Patrol for 5 years and then to being a FDNY dispatcher from 1977 till 2006 when I retired with the rank of Borough Supervisor in charge of the Manhattan Communications office. I have attended many a big fire or incident in the greater NY City area, from Jersey to Boston I always have my camera on hand. I have been called many things over the years,(some can not be published here) a spark, a fire fan, a buff. I am all of that but mostly a historian, for what I have seen through my camera is a history of the fire service. The rigs, the houses but mostly the members and friends that have left us all too soon.
